MUSCAT : The Dhofar Municipality’s latest campaign in Sadah Governorate covered essential areas such as hygiene, pest control, afforestation, lighting, food safety, and removing unauthorized structures. Over four months, nearly 390 loads of waste were cleared from local beaches, dirt roads, and swamps.
In a bid to protect public health, municipal teams conducted rigorous pest control efforts, targeting mosquito breeding sites and disease vectors. Sprayers and insecticides were deployed to reduce risks, while stagnant water pools were eliminated to minimize mosquito habitats.
Green initiatives were also a key focus, with 150 palm trees planted in Hasik Park, along with shrub maintenance. An additional 150 palm trees are scheduled for planting.
