BAHRAIN: Fahmi bin Kamil Al-Tamimi earned Oman’s first gold in the Taekwondo competition, dominating the 68-kilogram weight category and clinching victory against a formidable Bahraini competitor in the final match. Meanwhile, Ahmed bin Anwar Kaskas won a silver medal in fencing after a final against an Iranian athlete.
Omani school teams are set to continue their competitive journey on Tuesday with matches in taekwondo, fencing, athletics, table tennis, and chess. While the Paralympic sports, beach volleyball, and basketball teams have completed their participation, Oman’s presence remains strong as athletes push forward in pursuit of further accolades.
