Muscat – The minister was accompanied by and H.E. Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, and H.E. Eng. Khamis bin Mohammed Al Shammakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry, along with other officials.



The visit revealed that the project has reached an actual completion rate of 26 percent. Notably, the contractor has commenced the paving of asphalt layers at the project’s starting point in the Wilayat of Dibba. Additionally, the completion rate for the initial service roads associated with the project has reached approximately 95 percent.
The total length of the Dibba-Lima-Khasab Road Project is around 71 kilometres, with a budget exceeding RO 151 million. The project includes the construction of several concrete structures for valley channels and side protection works, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and safety of the road to meet traffic safety standards. Designed to accommodate all weather conditions, the road will support the passage of various vehicle types.
The implementing company is currently finalising the service roads, which will facilitate the delivery of equipment and technical crews to the main project route. The preliminary roads have been successfully completed, connecting Lima to Dibba, while efforts are ongoing to extend the connection from Lima to Khasab. Work is also in progress for side cuts and ground levelling for the final road path.
Once completed, the project is expected to significantly improve traffic flow between the states of the governorate and link population centres along the road. It will also pave the way for new residential areas with diverse residential, commercial, and tourism opportunities, contributing to the economic, social, and tourism development of the Musandam Governorate.
