Muscat: The Council of Ministers has officially approved the National Program for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Digital Technologies during the cabinet meeting chaired by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
This program aims to propel the Sultanate’s ranking in the global Government Readiness Index for Artificial Intelligence through the adoption and localization of cutting-edge technologies and the creation of supportive legislation.
Launched initially by Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology in 2020, the program is part of the broader National Program for the Digital Economy.
