Oman’s energy conference to spark global dialogue on sustainability

The third edition of the Oman Electricity and Energy Conference begins next Tuesday at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Muscat: Sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, the conference is organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Raya Services and Business Company, and Nama Group. Over three days, attendees will delve into the future of sustainable energy, transmission and distribution networks, energy efficiency, and more.

The conference aims to foster national talent, exchange cutting-edge technical knowledge, and review recent advancements in the energy sector. Discussions will include smart grids, digital transformation, and asset management. With 60 experts from local and international arenas, the event will cover crucial topics such as grid flexibility, energy storage systems, and hydrogen power.

An accompanying exhibition will showcase the latest in energy technology, while workshops will address pressing challenges in the electricity and energy sectors. Eng. Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Wahaibi, Head of the Electrical and Energy Division at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, emphasizes the conference’s role in driving Oman’s energy transformation plans forward with insightful presentations and hands-on sessions.
