Nizwa Industrial City localizes 4 projects, total investment reaches RO 474 million

Nizwa Industrial City, part of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), has localized four projects in the first half of 2024, with a total investment exceeding RO 5.5 million.

MUSCAT : These projects span 67,000 square meters and mark a significant boost in the city’s capacity.
Salah bin Nasser Al Alawi, Acting Director General of Nizwa Industrial City, reported that the industrial city now hosts 173 projects. This includes 154 operational projects, 13 under construction, and 8 with allocated space. The occupancy rate for the developed lands, covering 3.1 million square meters, has reached 76 percent of the city’s total area of 7.2 million square meters.



By the end of June 2024, the total investment in Nizwa Industrial City had reached approximately RO 474 million. The city employs 5,707 workers, with an Omanisation rate of 45 percent.

Al Alawi highlighted several key developments, including projects in food and building materials industries, and the production of glass, wood, iron, and steel. The city also supports oil and gas sectors with equipment maintenance and related industries. Notably, a new factory specializing in medical solutions is under construction, poised to enhance health security in Oman.
