MUSCAT : This represents a 2.05 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The growth is attributed to the successful attraction and localization of various projects in sectors including electrical industries, warehouses and logistics, and engineering and technical services, with investments exceeding RO 3 million.

The road and infrastructure construction project in Mahas Industrial City has achieved a completion rate of over 90 percent, with a total investment of nearly RO 5 million. Mubarak bin Salem Al Ghailani, Acting Director General of Mahas Industrial City, announced that the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) is advancing with the development of ten ready-made model factories.
These factories will occupy an area of 500 square meters each and will be equipped with essential services, administrative offices, loading and unloading areas, parking, and green spaces. The project documents and details have been finalized, and the project consultant was appointed in June to prepare the necessary studies and consulting plans.
Al Ghailani emphasized that the project aims to boost industrial development and support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurial ventures in the governorate. It is also designed to leverage the investment advantages and incentives offered by Madayn.
In addition, Madayn has been proactive in supporting entrepreneurs and national industries through Mahas Industrial City. The main contractor for the road and infrastructure project has allocated over RO 1.3 million to various local contracting, construction, and supply companies. The city has also initiated tenders for SMEs in Musandam Governorate, covering technical services, electrical works, consulting, contracting, supply, shipping, and general maintenance.
