Rise in fake SMS and WhatsApp messages: Oman Post alerts customers

Oman Post has issued a warning to its customers about an increase in fake SMS and WhatsApp messages requesting payments for various services.

Muscat – In a statement addressed to its customers, Oman Post emphasized that these messages are not sent by Oman Post or Asyad Express and are part of a phishing scam designed to steal personal and financial information.

The company urges customers to ignore any suspicious payment requests received through SMS, WhatsApp messages, or calls.

“Please be aware that these messages are not sent by Oman Post or Asyad Express and are part of a phishing scam aimed at obtaining personal and financial information. We advise all our customers to ignore any suspicious payment requests received through SMS, WhatsApp messages, or calls. If you receive any such request, do not respond to it and do not share any personal or financial information. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1001,” reads the statement from Oman Post and Asyad Express Team.
