MUSCAT : Knowledge Oman, the leading community knowledge-sharing platform in the Sultanate, proudly announced the release of the book “ Perspectives on Leadership: A Knowledge Oman Story”. The book is authored by Dr. Mythili Kolluru, an Assistant Professor of the College of Banking and Financial Studies, and an active member of the Knowledge Oman community since 2018. The book illustrates compelling narrative of the platform’s impactful journey and its contributions to the community over the past 16 years.  The aim of the book is to inspire individuals to unlock their potential and create positive change in their communities and beyond.

Dr. Kolluru, a distinguished educator and scholar, is recognized with the national award for “Outstanding Women Educator and Scholar in Strategic Management” and has extensive global experience. Holding a Ph.D. from Andhra University and certification as a Strategic Planning Professional, she combines academic excellence with practical insights. Dr. Kolluru ignites a passion for strategy, international business, and organizational studies in her students. U high-quality research, published in top-tier journals and business magazines, and her dedication to community development are evident in the book’s insightful narrative, capturing the essence of Knowledge Oman’s transformative journey with depth and clarity.

The Knowledge Oman’s book traces the platform’s evolution from its humble beginnings to its current status as a beacon of community-driven change. Founded in 2008 by Tariq Hilal Al Barwani, Knowledge Oman has managed within 16 years to launch 74 initiatives in the form of projects, workshops, seminars that positively impacted hundreds of thousands of people from college and universities, women, entrepreneurs and professionals from various industries. Projects were supported by over 35 partners locally and internationally attracting over 80,000 registrations and 700 volunteers across the years. Knowledge Oman received 5 awards that includes the Outstanding contribution to the cause of education from the World Human Resource Development (HRD) Congress. Members of the platform consist of multinational group of both locals and expatriates living in the country with the passion of creating, sharing and exchanging knowledge.
