MUSCAT : Alizz Islamic Bank recently hosted some of the volunteers from Oman Scouts and Guides at the Bank’s Head office to encourage them for enlisting to assist the Pilgrims with Hajj. It is an honour to have more than 40 volunteers from the Omani Scouts who will be deployed around the holy sites in Makkah and Medina to help Hajj pilgrims.
Every year a delegate of Omani Scouts volunteers aim to serve people during the Hajj season. These dedicated young Omanis, put their effort into serving the the Pilgrims in the Holy Land enabling them to perform their rituals. This includes assisting the medical delegation in performing their mission by receiving and registering patients, being on duty at the mission headquarters around the clock, responding to the inquiries of pilgrims and those frequenting the mission headquarters, and preparing a daily report to the head of the mission on the mission’s performance.
The scouts also secure the entrances and exits of the pilgrims’ camps in Mina and Arafat in cooperation with the security companies contracted with in this regard, in addition to assisting in organising the work of the Omani Hajj delegation by assisting pilgrims in communicating with the delegation and returning lost pilgrims to their places of residence whether In Mecca, Medina, or Mina.
