UAE: Competing against nations like Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, Oman’s fencing champions demonstrated exceptional skill and determination at the Zayed Sports Complex hall in Fujairah. The games that unfolded over multiple days, with individual and doubles competitions, showcased the finest talents from across the Gulf region.

Highlighting Oman’s fencing excellence, Ahmed bin Anwar Kaskas clinched the gold medal in the male epee competition, showcasing his mastery of the sport. Saeed bin Khaled Al Shuaibi added to the medal tally with a bronze in the same event. In the instantaneous weapon category, Kaskas secured a silver medal, narrowly missing out on the gold in a fiercely contested final match.

The female contingent was equally impressive, with Israa bint Saif Al-Siyabiya securing the gold in the female epee competition, a testament to her skill and determination. Salma bint Saeed Al-Daghishiya contributed to the success with a bronze.

Oman’s swimming talents shone bright as Hilal Al-Mashari claimed a bronze in the 200-meter backstroke event, showcasing speed and precision in the water. Mishal Al-Kulaibi added to the swimming medal count with a bronze in the 100-meter freestyle, demonstrating Oman’s versatility across different sporting disciplines.
