Abu Dhabi Police begins to implement decision to cancel traffic violations of Omani citizens

Abu Dhabi Police Commander-in-Chief says work has started by the team to cancel traffic fines incurred by Omani citizens from 2018 to 2023.

DUBAI: Following orders from UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Police has started work on implementing the decision to waive all traffic fines incurred by citizens of Oman over the last five years.

His Excellency Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police has praised the initiative of the UAE President “which will reduce the burden on the people.”

Earlier in the day, the UAE government decided to cancel all traffic violations incurred by Omani citizens from 2018 until 2023.

“Work had begun immediately to implement the decision in line with the procedures of the police general commands at the state level and to facilitate the mechanism for canceling traffic violations during the period from 2018 to 2023,” Al Mazrouei added.
