Muscat – The Centre assured the public that stringent measures are in place to ensure the safety and quality of imported food products, including grapes.

The Center collaborates closely with Directorate General of Agriculture, Plant Quarantine Department and the food safety departments at all border crossings to enforce adherence to standard food specifications.

Samples of incoming products are routinely collected and subjected to thorough analysis in accredited laboratories to verify their compliance with safety standards. The Center ensures that imports from food establishments and laboratories are duly accredited.

The Center also stresses its commitment to safeguard the health and well-being of consumers by conducting pre-export inspections to mitigate any potential risks associated with agricultural food products, animal products, and manufactured goods.
