Salam Air adds Tirana to European destinations, enhances Khareef season flights

Muscat: Captain Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sheidhani, acting CEO of SalamAir, unveiled plans to introduce Tirana, Albania, as a new European destination starting mid-June.

Captain Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sheidhani expressed SalamAir’s commitment to broadening its network and meeting growing demand, highlighting the addition of Tirana as a seasonal destination offering two weekly flights during the summer. He emphasized Tirana’s allure as a tourist gem known for its moderate climate and rich historical attractions.

In addition to Tirana, SalamAir will relaunch seasonal routes to Baku (Azerbaijan), Trabzon (Turkey), and Almaty (Kazakhstan) from mid-June. Moreover, recognizing the popularity of Dhofar Governorate during the Khareef season, SalamAir will ramp up flights to Salalah with four daily connections from Muscat, including new links from Fujairah (UAE) and Manama (Bahrain).

He highlighted Salam Air’s modern fleet of 13 Airbus A321neo and A320 aircraft, alongside an Airbus A321 freighter, emphasizing their role in achieving a 28% increase in passengers transported in 2023 compared to the previous year.

Furthering its commitment to Oman’s aviation talent, SalamAir continues to train Omani pilots and engineers, ensuring professionalism and expertise within the industry. The airline also plans to update its mobile app, enhancing the booking experience for customers
