Muscat – As per Oman Meteorology report, the affected areas are Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, Muscat, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, and parts of the Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates.
“Partly cloudy to cloudy over most of the governorates with chances of thunderstorms and heavy rain associated with active downdraft winds and hail which may cause flash flood are expected over Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, and parts of Al Wusta and Dhofar,” states the Weather forecast.
There are chances of low clouds or fog patches over parts of Al Dakiliyah, Al Dhahirah, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, AL Wusta and Dhofar Governorates.
Sea waves will rise on most of the coasts of the Sultanate today, and the sea will be rough (2.0 – 3. 0 meters).
Southeast winds are forecasted to persist, sweeping across the desert and open areas of the Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates. These winds are expected to stir up dust and reduce horizontal visibility.
Horizontal visibility might reduce during thunder rainfall, fog formation and dust rising.
