MUSCAT : According to reports, the sector has responded to as many as 45 calls for assistance between 7 pm yesterday and 1 pm today. These incidents included detentions, fires, road accidents, and people in danger of drowning.
According to Lieutenant Ali bin Saeed Al Farsi, spokesperson for the Search and Rescue Sector, one of the most formidable challenges facing the sector was the difficulty of reaching affected sites due to road interruptions, the strong flow of rain water and the swelling of wadis.
