MUSCAT : More than 800 people have been moved from flood-hit areas to shelter centers in various parts of Oman, the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) has confirmed on Tuesday.
According to the figures revealed by NCEM, 617 Omani citizens and 195 expat residents have been shifted to 14 shelter centers in various governorates of Oman.
Heavy rains and flash floods have swept the Sultanate, killing at least 18 people including nine school children.
