MUSCAT: Oman has suspended work on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 for government and private sector workers in the governorates of Musandam, Al Buraimi, A’Dhahirah, North Al Batinah and A’Dakhiliyah due to unstable weather conditions.
In a statement issued, the Ministry of Labour said “in other governorates, online work can be applied if it is not possible for employees to physically attend office.”
Meanwhile schools will remain closed across all governorates except in Dhofar and Al Wusta on April 16, 2024. As heavy rains continued to lash Oman on Monday, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) confirmed 19 people died in the last two days.
