ACFE Oman Chapter to organize intensive Certified Fraud Examiner test

MUSCAT : The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Oman Chapter, under sponsorship of the College of Banking & Financial Studies, is leading an initiative to enhance Oman’s resilience against financial fraud. This initiative aims to position Oman as a global leader in integrity and transparency in combating financial malfeasance.

To achieve this objective, the ACFE Oman Chapter is organizing an intensive Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) exam preparation course from April 21 to 24 in Muscat. Renowned expert and Fraudologist, Mr. Iyad Murtadha, in partnership with the chapter, will facilitate the course. It is designed to empower professionals seeking to strengthen their expertise in fraud examination and obtain CFE certification.

In order to provide further insight into this important initiative, we spoke with Fathiya AlMaskari, Training Director at ACFE Oman, and Iyad Murtadha, the Founder of Openthinking Academy.

Q: What motivated the ACFE Oman Chapter to launch this CFE exam preparation course?

Fathiya AlMaskari: “Given the rising incidence of financial fraud globally, it is essential to equip professionals with the necessary skills to effectively combat such crimes. The CFE designation signifies proficiency in the fraud profession. Through this course, we aim to empower Oman’s professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to tackle fraud head-on.”

Iyad Murtadha: “As an accredited and authorized CFE trainer from ACFE Global, it is my duty to provide comprehensive exam training, whether virtually or in person, to prepare professionals for the CFE examination. Oman holds a special place in my heart, and I am always eager to contribute to the fight against fraud whenever I am in Muscat.”

Q: What can participants expect from this course?

Fathiya AlMaskari: “Drawing upon Iyad’s extensive experience in training CFE candidates, participants can expect to gain invaluable insights and techniques crucial for exam success. Iyad has trained thousands of CFEs in recent years, and I am proud to say that I am one of those who passed the CFE exam after taking his preparation course.”

Iyad Murtadha: “Participants will explore various aspects of fraud examination, including prevention strategies, fraud schemes, investigation methodologies, and legal frameworks. Interactive sessions, along with expert guidance, will facilitate a dynamic learning experience, fostering networking opportunities among anti-fraud professionals.”
