PSM Ramadan Cricket tournament set to take place in Oman next month

The biggest and most sought-after softball cricket tournament, which will be played during the holy month of Ramadan, will be held at the PSM ground from March 9 onwards.

MUSCAT: In what could be a big news for cricket lovers in Oman, the popular Pakistan School Muscat’s Ramadan Cricket tournament is all set to take place from March 9, 2024, organizers have informed The Arabian Stories.

“Preparations are underway to host the tournament during the holy month of Ramadan. This time, the tournament will be in a bigger format,” said Jameel Zaidi, the Chief Organizer of PSM Cricket tournament.

32 teams are expected to take part in the tournament, and all matches will be played at night. “Apart from the matches, food lovers will also enjoy mouth-watering Pakistan cuisines,” Zaidi said.

“It will be a family festival that will attract all communities,” he added.

Teams can collect the entry forms from Pakistan School Muscat after paying an entry fee of OMR 50. The last date for submission of entries is March 5, 2024, at the PSM Office Muscat, from 8 am to 1 pm .

“It will be a knockout tournament, and the entries will be restricted to 32 teams only on a first come, first serve basis. Players from Oman Cricket League Premier and other divisions can also participate,” Zaidi added.
