Muscat – Under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ahmed Al Hum Al Mayasi, Wali of Dibba, the vibrant Musandam Chamber Markets initiative kicked off in the picturesque setting of Dibba Fort as part of the ongoing Musandam winter festivities. The inauguration marked a jubilant gathering filled with traditional performances, cultural showcases, and various activities for all ages.
The grand opening ceremony featured a melange of captivating performances. Attendees were also captivated by the traditional folk arts synonymous with the governorate. Additionally, students from Dibba School for Basic Education showcased their artistic talents, amplifying the spirit of the occasion through theatre activities and engaging games for children, setting a lively tone for the event.
Adding a touch of cultural richness, the “Creative Heritage Exhibition,” spearheaded by the Omani Women’s Association in Dibba, took centre stage. This empowering exhibit aimed to showcase and market locally crafted heritage products, providing a platform to endorse and sell these creations while bolstering financial resources for the participants.
Over 20 members of the Omani Women’s Association in Dibba proudly displayed exhibits encapsulating ancient Omani heritage. The exhibition housed diverse sections dedicated to popular food, traditional crafts, pottery, photography, handicrafts, henna painting, perfumes, incense, and cosmetic products.

Organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in Musandam Governorate in collaboration with various governmental and private entities, the initiative aspires to promote national products, bolster small and medium enterprises, support home projects, and empower productive families. Moreover, it aims to equip participants with marketing skills and expertise in presenting value-added products while offering an entertaining atmosphere for families and visitors throughout the 30-day Musandam winter season
