Muscat – Al Rusayl Industrial City, affiliated with Madayn (Public Establishment for Industrial Estates), witnessed remarkable growth during the first half of 2023, as the cumulative investment volume exceeded OMR 766 million, with a growth rate of 1.62 percent.
Engineer Mohsen bin Zahran Al Hinai, CEO of Al Rusayl Industrial City Company, stated that the City acquired 10.5 percent of the total cumulative investment volume in the industrial cities affiliated with Madayn. The number of investment contracts in the industrial city reached 484 contracts, including 368 industrial, 23 commercial, 24 services, 46 logistics, 6 real estate, 16 basic service providers, and one development contract.
These contracts were distributed among 396 productive projects in various sectors such as chemicals, electric batteries, building materials, fiber optic cables, foodstuffs, textiles and ready-made clothing, stationery, dyes, filters, furniture, and others. In addition there are 32 projects under construction, 4 completed projects, and 52 projects for which the contract was signed. There are 19,854 employees working in these projects, with an Omanisation rate of 34 percent.

He pointed out that several vital projects were recently completed in the Rusayl Industrial City, most notably the second phase expansion project, at a total cost of OMR 33 million; it was implemented on a total area of 2.4 million square metres, as the project is located along the current city.
From the southern side, it aims to develop the city’s internal roads, and infrastructure facilities such as electricity, water, and communications companies, rainwater drainage and sewage networks, and other services needed for investment, industrial and logistical growth in the city, serving more than 120 plots of land allocated to investors, through an integrated infrastructure that provides advanced services.
