Muscat – The announcement comes within the framework of the Municipality’s intent to create public places for entertainment and picnics for all segments of society.
Engineer Sulaiman bin Hamad Al Sunaidi, Director General of the North Al Batinah Municipality, explained that tenders for these gardens and parks have been completed, aiming to increase the green area in the states, raise the level of afforestation, and increase the per capita share of the green area to keep pace with international standards and improve the general environment.
It holes to develop existing ones and contribute to the Sultanate of Oman’s direction for the year 2040 to achieve carbon neutrality.
He explained that the first is the waterfront park in the wilayat of Shinas, on an area covering 30,000 square meters; it consists of green spaces, seating areas with umbrellas and chairs, toys for children, prayer halls for men and women, a fountain, and other service facilities.
The second is the Jasmine Park at the beginning in the wilayat of Suwaiq, on an area of 26,878 square meters. It also consists of green areas, children’s games, sports games, seating areas with umbrellas and chairs, and other service facilities.

He pointed out that the four parks include Al-Dhuwaihir Park in the Wilayat of Al-Khaboura – on an area of 3,032 square metres, and consisting of children’s games, places to sit with umbrellas and chairs, and service facilities; and Al-Khuwairat Park, also in the Wilayat of Al-Khaboura – on an area of 57,000 square metres, and consisting of games for children, places to sit with umbrellas and chairs, investment sites, and service facilities.
Others include Al-Bax Park in Al-Khaboura, on an area of 870 square metres consisting of a children’s play area and seating areas with umbrellas, chairs and other service facilities, and Makhailif Park in the state of Saham on an area of 13,000 square metres. This also consists of a children’s play area and seating areas with umbrellas, chairs and other service facilities.
