MUSCAT : The annual report of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority 2022 revealed the details of the auction on the diamond and gold private telecom numbers. 10 auctions were held during the year 2021, 5 for “Omantel” and 5 for “Ooredoo”, and 1,500 numbers were offered during these auctions, of which 364 were allocated The proceeds amounted to OMR 178,698.
In 2022, 10 more auctions were held, 4 for Omantel, 5 for Ooredoo, and 1 for Vodafone, during which 1445 numbers were offered and 383 of them were allocated. The proceeds of this leg of the auction amounted to OMR 138,246, bringing the total amount to OMR 316,944.
