MUSCAT : The Omani Meteorology has issued a report on the weather during Eid Al Adha, which indicates that the atmosphere of the Sultanate of Oman is expected to be affected by a groove from an air depression.
‘Temperature will reduce to be within the range of 35 – 45 degrees Celsius. Clouds advection is expected to begin from Tuesday 27th June 2023 with chances of isolated rain, occasional thundershowers during afternoon and evening concentrated over the mountainous areas of governorates of Al Dhahira, Al Dakhylia, South Al Batinah, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, North Al Sharqiya and South Al Sharqiya,’ stated the Met report.
On June 28 and 29th, Oman will experience isolated thundershowers ranging from 10 to 30 mm, which may cause wadi flow; there will be moderate to fresh winds with speed of 15 to 25 knots. Sea state will be rough along the coastal areas of Arabian Sea (2.0 – 4.0 meters) and moderate along the coastal areas of Oman (1.5-2.0 meters).

On June 30 and July 1, there will be isolated thundershowers ranging from 10 to 20 mm, moderate to fresh winds with speed of 15 to 20 knots, and sea state will be rough along the coastal areas of Arabian Sea (2.0 – 4.0 meters).
Civil Aviation Authority advices all to take precautions during rainfall and wadi flows, check sea state before sailing and follow weather bulletins and reports.
