Muscat: Under the patronage of H.E. Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to Oman, and in the presence of Praveen Kumar, Second Secretary (Economic and Commercial) of Indian Embassy, the Indian Social Club organised a community meet for Indians residing in the region.
Dr. Sandeep Ojha, General Secretary of the Club, in his welcome address, extended his sincere gratitude to His Excellency and the Second Secretary, as well as all the people who generously came forward to make the event a success.
Rakesh Kumar Jha, President of the Club, honoured H. E. Amit Narang and Praveen Kumar by presenting mementoes, and appreciated all the community members who turned up for the event. Mrs. Suvarna, coordinator of the event, presented a bouquet to the H.E., while Praveen, joint cultural secretary, presented one to the Second Secretary.

The meeting provided a platform for community members to address various issues, with the Embassy assuring support on the basis of priorities.
The Ambassador felicitated members of the community who had actively participated in the SEVA UTSAV 2022; he praised the support and contribution of Indian Social Club Salalah in organising various events in association with the Embassy.
The Ambassador also met a group of Omani alumni who have studied in India under various programs. On their part, the Omani alumni shared their affectionate reminiscences and experiences they gained during their study period in India.
Sunny Jacob, Vice President of the Club, proposed a vote of thanks.
