MUSCAT: Thousands of users have taken to social media after Gmail crashed today, causing significant issues in the email service, including a glitch that prevents users from receiving emails. According to Downdetector, a website that users can check to see if there are indeed outages for whatever issues they are experiencing on their apps or websites, 77% of users are experiencing problems with receiving mail due to the crash.
It is unclear what led to the outage or when it will be fixed, and users have taken to social media to voice their frustration. As of now, neither Google nor Gmail has posted an update, or any news whatsoever, about the outage. One way users can try to troubleshoot this is to logout of their account and try to login again.
