MUSCAT : Oman’s environmental initiative O! Millionaire organised a three-day celebration at the Al Naba Holdings’ labour camp in Misfah to mark Diwali, the Indian festival of lights. Diwali, is an important festival that celebrates the culture and traditions of India and parts of other South Asian countries.
O! Millionaire celebrated the festivities related to Diwali at a labour camp of Al Naba Holdings as part of our community building activities.
More than 1500 staff of Al Naba Holding attended the Diwali celebrations. Some highlights of the programme included dance performances, songs, and other recreational activities. O! Millionaire distributed gifts and goodies to all employees. O! Millionaire intends to host more events of this nature in the future and bring joy and offer people a platform to showcase their creative side.

An on-the-spot raffle draw was conducted, and cash prizes were presented to eight winners on each of the three days. In addition, on the last day of the event, one woman won a cash prize in a special draw dedicated to women. Some of the employees who won cash prizes said that they would send the money home to their loved ones.

Millionaire said, “We are honoured to have brought joy at the Al Naba Holdings’ labour camp where most of the staff were celebrating Diwali away from their home country and loved ones. It was heart-warming to see how deeply connected the individuals at the camp were to their roots. We were delighted to provide a platform for the employees at Al Naba to showcase their talent. We sincerely believe that hosting such events will also aid in strengthening the cultural ties between nations. As an institution, building-up and giving back to the community is one of our primary objectives. We explained the concept behind O! Millionaire and Oasis Park and how it will help the nation.”
O! Millionaire environmental initiative intends to create Middle East’s largest green park – the Oasis Park in the Ash-Sharqiyah region of Oman, the first man-made, artificial oasis on a planned total area of 1,200 square kilometers that will be created as a sustainable, self-contained ecosystem. The planned area will provide space for up to 60 million different trees, which will be planted over the next years and decades and thus contribute significantly to the goal of reducing global CO2 emissions.
