MUSCAT: His Excellency Dr Khalfan Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, said that 1,259 housing assistance worth OMR 30 million was implemented in 2021.
The statement from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning came during the 15th regular session of the Shura Council.
The minister clarified that the lofty orders recently bestowed by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to strengthen the housing assistance program will contribute to covering approximately 2,800 applications.

His Excellency indicated that 1,836 beneficiaries of the housing loan program were exempted.
