MUSCAT: Hala Medical Centre, Wadikabir has launched a one month campaign in anticipation of World Kidney Day, on Thursday, March 10, 2022.

Hala Medical Centre Management has declared that March 10 to April 10 would be the month of ‘Kidney Health for Students’. The campaign would focus on bridging knowledge gaps to improve kidney health through increased kidney care education to students and awareness in the public arena.

Increased understanding of the vital role kidneys play, and the simple ways of identifying and preventing potential health issues which can help combat unnecessarily high morbidity and mortality rates.

Dr Arpana John Hanchimani, well-known pediatric nephrologist of Hala Medical Centre said, “We will give the leadership for a one month campaign as part of this campaign, through which we are conducting awareness sessions at schools on how you can build a path to better kidney care.”

During the campaign period, a consultation with a pediatric nephrologist at Hala Medical Centre would cost OMR 1.
