MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on Monday appointed Azzan bin Qassim bin Muhammad Al Busaidi as the new Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism.
Azzan Al Busaidi replaced Maitha Saif Majid Al Mahrouqi, who has been appointed as the new Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Azzan who was the former Chief Executive Officer of Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa) is an expert in competitiveness and economic growth. Al Busaidi was previously Ithraa’s director general of planning and studies.
