MUSCAT: The latest weather analysis in the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre has indicated that the Sultanate will be affected by a trough of low pressure starting from Wednesday 29th December lasting for several days.

“The weather will be cloudy over the governorates of Musandam, North Al-Batinah with chances of rain (50-100 mm) occasionally thundershowers, fresh winds, flash floods and wadis, with chance of cloud advection over governorates of South Al-Batinah, Muscat, Al-Buraimi, Al-Dahirah, Al-Dakhliya, South Al-Sharqiya and North Al-Sharqiya (10-25 mm),” the statement from Oman Met said.

“Moderate sea condition along most of the Sultanate coasts with maximum wave height of 2.0 m becoming rough during thundershowers along the coastal areas of Musandam Governorate and Oman Sea coasts with maximum wave height of 3 meters,” the statement added.
