Hotels, tourism establishments in Oman must limit visitors to 50% in all facilities: Ministry

The statement from the ministry comes after it noticed negligence by some hotel and tourist establishments in adhering to the precautionary measures.

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has urged all hotel and tourist establishments to comply with the decision issued by the government and other competent authorities in the wake of Omicron variant.

In a statement issued, the Ministry asked hotels and tourist establishments to reduce visitors in their facilities “such as restaurants, meeting and banquet halls and rest of other facilities to 50% capacity.”

“They must also commit to preventive measures such as wearing a mask in all facilities of the facility and maintaining social separation and other preventive requirements in order to ensure the safety of visitors. Hotels and tourist establishments must avoid getting into any legal measures that may reach the closure of the facility,” the statement said.

The statement from the ministry comes after it noticed negligence by some hotel and tourist establishments in adhering to the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
