MUSCAT: In a massive hunt, the Royal Oman Police on Tuesday managed to thwart the smuggling of 1.8 million captagon tablets weighing 315 kilograms.
In a statement issued, ROP said smuggling attempt was seized in cooperation with authorities in Saudi Arabia. “Within the framework of international cooperation, the Royal Oman Police, in cooperation with the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was able to thwart the smuggling of 1.8 million captagon tablets weighing 315 kilograms. They were being transported hidden in glass plates. The case is under legal proceedings,” ROP said.
