Ibrahim Haji’s contributions will always be remembered, says Malabar Gold Group Chairman MP Ahammed

MUSCAT: Prominent businessman, educational entrepreneur and philanthropist P A Ibrahim Haji, who owned several business ventures in India and the Middle East, died in Calicut on Tuesday. He was 78.

Ibrahim Haji was admitted to the City Hospital at the Dubai Healthcare City after he suffered a stroke on December 11. He was shifted to the MIMS Hospital in Kozhikode on Monday where he breathed his last on Tuesday. Ibrahim Haji who also the Co-Chairman of Malabar Gold and Diamonds.

In a statement issued, MP Ahammed, Chairman of Malabar Group offered his tributes. “Dr PA Ibrahim Haji will always be remembered for his commendable contributions in the field of education”, said MP Ahammed, Chairman, Malabar Group, offering condolences on the demise of the renowned businessman and philanthropist.

“As Co-Chairman of Malabar Group, his activities always served as inspiration for us, and he contributed greatly to the development of our company. A true believer in the power of education to empower communities, his contributions in the field of education are noteworthy. His social commitment lives through the various educational institutions and the different charitable endeavours he has initiated in India and abroad. He made charity a way of life. We are deeply saddened by his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family,” he added.
