MUSCAT: Leading UAE businessman Majid Al Futtaim, the founder of Majid Al Futtaim Group died on Friday.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, paid tribute to the Futtaim on Twitter, hailing him as “one of Dubai’s most important” business leaders.
Al Futtaim’s death was announced on Friday. The Majid Al Futtaim Group operates shopping malls, retail and leisure establishments across Middle East, and North Africa. The Group also owns businesses in Oman including Mall of Oman, Muscat City Centre and Qurum City Centre.
