Oman among best for quality of education: UN report

According to the UN report, Oman has made great strides in improving the quality of education over the last two decades.

MUSCAT: Oman has been ranked among top Arab countries in providing the best quality of education, according to a report by the United Nations.

The report issued by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) affirmed that the Sultanate of Oman is among the Arab countries with the highest quality of education, according to available data from international institutions, especially the World Bank.

According to the report, Oman has been ranked with UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar as the countries with the best quality of education.

The report also stated that the sultanate witnessed a remarkable development in the field of education in the last two decades, thanks to the high rate of enrollment in basic education and the availability of sufficient number of teachers.
