MUSCAT: Oman’s Islamic banking industry is continuing to perform well. The total balance of financing granted by the Islamic banking sector by the end of September 2021 increased by 12.9 percent to reach about OMR 4.7 billion.
The data issued by the Central Bank of Oman indicated that the total deposits with Islamic banks and windows increased by 13.7 percent by the end of September 2021 to reach OMR 4.3 billion.
The total assets of Islamic banks and windows at the end of September 2021 increased by 14.9 percent to reach about OMR 5.8 billion or 15.3 percent of the total assets of the banking sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
