MUSCAT : The Royal Oman Police (ROP) started operations at the Rub-el-Khali border checkpoint as part of the Omani Saudi Desert Highway’s security management system.
The Rub-el-Khali border checkpoint boasts a set of high-tech facilities designed to streamline traffic and related services (passports and residency) rendered to entry and exit travelers. Visas are finalized in a speedy manner at open service halls supplied with computer systems to facilitate procedures for transit passengers.
The checkpoint also provides customs clearance services, including digitized inspection of exports and imports.
