MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik paid a visit on Monday evening to Al Bayt Sports Stadium in Al Khor, one of the stadiums that will host the FIFA 2022 World Cup.
His Majesty is currently in Qatar on a two-day state visit. During his visit to the stadium, His Majesty was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and a number of senior officials.
His Majesty praised the unique and distinctive design of this sports edifice and its international equipment and facilities, which reflects the ability of the sisterly State of Qatar to present an ideal image for hosting the upcoming global sports event.
