MUSCAT: A person who went missing during cyclone Shaheen has been found in good health in North Al Batinah Governorate.
In a statement issued the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) said a search operation is underway to find the remaining six people.
Meanwhile, more than 650 people were rescued by the Search and Rescue sector since the beginning of tropical cyclone Shaheen NCEM said on Wednesday.

NCEM said 231 cases were handled by the search and rescue sector since the beginning of the cyclone until October 5. “Among the cases, 57 reports were of people struck in a valley, 66 of stranded vehicle, 91 reports of people stranded in homes, two reports of falling trees, nine reports of search operations and six reports of collapse, NCEM said.
