Supreme Committee calls on citizens, residents to fully cooperate during full lockdown in Oman

The committee reiterated that the decision to impose the full lockdown has been taken to reduce the COVID-19 infections and death cases in the country.

MUSCAT: The Supreme Committee has called on both citizens and residents to cooperate and abide by the decision to completely close commercial activities and prevent the movement of individuals and vehicles during the first three days Eid Al Adha from July 20 to 22.

The committee reiterated that the decision to impose the full lockdown has been taken to reduce the COVID-19 infections and death cases in the country.

The committee said that in order to facilitate the movement of basic services, a joint operation centre will be working round the clock with representatives from the Royal Oman Police, health sector, municipal sector, tourism sector, transport, communications and information technology, relief and accommodation, agricultural, fisheries and water resources. “People can contact 1099 for any information during the lockdown,” the statement added.
