MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik will go on an official visit to Saudi Arabia today in response to an invitation from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This is the first official state visit of His Majesty since taking over the reins. 

“During the visit, discussions will cover all aspects of cooperation between the two countries with a view to upgrading bilateral relations, and realizing the aspirations of the two peoples and achieving the objectives set in all fields,” state-owned Oman News Agency said. 

The discussions also aim at reaching results that serve common interests and establishing a more prosperous future for the two countries.

During the visit, His Majesty will be accompanied by an official high-level delegation comprising HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Eng. Said bin Hamoud bin Said Al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Qais bin Mohammed bin Moosa Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al-Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), and HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
