MUSCAT : His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health has responded to questions regarding the efficiency of the health sector in dealing with the COVID-19 crisis.
Addressing the Supreme Committee press conference, the Minister said it is unfair to target MOH in the wake of rising coronavirus cases. “There are questions like what has the Ministry of Health done to fight this pandemic.. A year has passed and we have not seen anything? These allegations are unfair,” Al Saidi said.
Regarding the preventive measures taken by the Supreme Committee, the Minister said: “On what is being raised about the committee’s advises in fighting the diseases, here’s what I would like to say: It is our Islamic, national and professional duty to advise people about the measures that will avoid them, from contracting this epidemic.”
