MUSCAT: The Supreme Committee has ordered the closure of wedding halls starting from June 20 until further notice.
In a statement issued by the Government Communication Centre (GC) said halls that conduct activities such as events and celebrations are also included in the closure as coronavirus cases rise in the country.
Earlier, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has banned all meetings, celebrations and gatherings in banquet rooms throughout the day.

In a statement issued the Ministry also ordered the closure of all public facilities in hotel establishments from 8pm to 4am except for restaurants, provided that food is “provided through room service during the night lockdown period,” the statement said.
