MUSCAT: The 2021 Elantra – the seventh generation of Hyundai’s much-loved compact sedan – has been given a complete makeover. Modern exteriors and impressive interior styling complement a generous array of standard and optional features that accentuate the brand’s longstanding reputation for performance and value.

Available in four trim options – two each in 2.0Lt and 1.6Lt capacities – each variant delivers power and performance characteristic of the award-winning Elantra. The Royal and Luxury trims come equipped with the Smart Stream Power Train 2.0 L engine, coupled with 6 Speed Automatic Transmission producing 159 PS power and 19.5 Nm Torque which gives faster acceleration. The Elantra Comfort and Premier trims, on the other hand, are available with a 1.6 L engine coupled with 6 Speed Automatic Transmission producing 127 PS power and 15.7 Nm of Torque. All the trims are rated in the excellent mileage category by the GCC Standardization Organisation.

The all-new Elantra has riveting looks. The ‘parametric dynamics’ design puts the accent on the elongated hood along with a sleeker roofline. The jewel pattern design highlights the depth of the front grille that integrates the turn signals, hiding them until they are activated. The integrated all-in-one taillight, representing Hyundai with its distinct H-shape design, creates a high-tech, futuristic rear look.

Safety and protection are hallmarks of the 2021 Elantra.  Notable is the Blind Spot Collision Warning System, while Hyundai’s SmartSense technology issues an alert if it senses that the driver is inattentive at the wheel.

The Elantra Royal Trim 2.0, with its bold and angular design, also comes with sunroof, power electric folding mirror, smart trunk system with front and rear parking sensors, and 17-inch machine finished alloy wheels. For the first time, it also features a remote engine starter that allows the owner to start and cool down the car in hot summer before getting into the car.

The interior is equally stunning, inspired by a fighter jet with high console design and grip bar. Surrounding the driver is a colourful 10.25’’ cluster display, slightly tilted to offer easier control along with a seamless, integrated panoramic view and a high-tech feel. Bluetooth multi-pairing and wireless smartphone charging are additional features for the tech savvy. Connectivity features are also extremely easy to use.

Features vary depending upon the choice of variant, but the 2021 Elantra bristles with exciting additional features such as full auto air-conditioner with rear AC vent, smart key with push button start, wireless charger, cigar lighter and ashtray, front cup holder with rotating plate, auto light control, leather steering wheel and transmission knob along with rear seat alert and rain sensors with aero blade wipers. Enhanced rear leg room makes for a comfortable journey for all the passengers.

“Everything about the all-new Elantra is a winner,” said Mr. Sudhir M., Chief Executive Officer, OTE Group, exclusive distributors of Hyundai cars in the Sultanate of Oman. “From its striking design, leading-edge technology, attractive cabin and intuitive safety features, the 2021 Elantra surpasses all expectations.”

Available in five appealing colours – Fluid Metal, Polar White, Amazon Grey, Fiery Red and Cyber Grey – all four variants are on display at OTE’s extensive network of 15 Hyundai showrooms distributed across the Sultanate.
