MUSCAT: Oman on Sunday received 210,000 doses of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine, Oman TV reported.
The vaccines arrived at the Muscat International Airport on Sunday evening.
Oman began vaccinating hundreds of people above the age of 45 on Sunday in its biggest push yet against a surging coronavirus that has hit the highest daily count. The Sultanate aims to immunise nearly 70 percent of its population this year after expanding the programme, which had been restricted to over-60s and people with serious health conditions.

Many vaccination centres saw heavy turn-out as people lined up early on Sunday. Meanwhile, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Supreme Committee visited the Center at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher to oversee the arrangements.
