MUSCAT: Dr. Deepa PK, an Indian expatriate and a school teacher in Indian School Muscat has attained a glorious fete for her exemplary poetry which has been recorded in the Golden Book of World Records.
Arjuna Award is a famous sports award given to individuals for their excellent performance for Sports in India. Dr. Deepa had researched about the life of Mr. Saurav Kothari (Billiards and Snooker player) and she submitted the research findings as a poem to the Golden Book of Records. She has also won an E-Certificate from the International Human Rights Organisation of India and SPAA (Sports Academy Association of India) for her research.
Dr. Vidushi Sharma of Ministry of Education, Government of India said that there were 133 writers and poets from around the globe who had taken part in this world record fete. Poets and writers from Germany, Belgium, Japan, USA, and senior scientists from ISRO had also taken part. The academic counsellor IGNOU, OSD (Officer of Special Duty), NIOS (National Institute of Open Learning), Specialist- Central Hindi Directorate had appreciated the writers for their incredible thoughts penned by the writers and poets. Dr. Vidushi also added that all the writers and poets have synchronized the life of the sportsperson into 20-25 lines which is indeed a commendable task and to research and pen their creativity.
