Should Oman open up the COVID-19 vaccines for all age groups?

Oman will receive 200,000 doses of weekly COVID-19 vaccine, starting from June.

MUSCAT: Oman must urgently provide COVID-19 vaccines for all age groups in the society, the country’s Shura Council said on Tuesday.

With the Ministry of Health (MOH) planning to start the mass vaccination drive in June, the Shura Council said it should look at opening the vaccines for all. Starting from June first week, MOH will receive 200,000 doses of weekly Covid-19 vaccines.

Meanwhile, MOH will start the vaccination for Grade 12 students on Wednesday across all governorates of the Sultanate.

Oman’s total Covid-19 cases touched 210,364 on Tuesday, including 2265 deaths.
