MUSCAT: Oman’s Ministry of Labour has issued a statement regarding a gathering of a number of citizens demanding job opportunities in Sohar in North Al Batinah Governorate on Sunday.
The gathering took place on Sunday morning, according to the Ministry.
“The Ministry of Labour has followed with great interest the gathering of a number of citizens on Sunday morning in front of the General Directorate of Labor in North Al Batinah Governorate, demanding job opportunities and to solve some of their problems,” the statement said.

The ministry also stated that they listened to their problems “professionally and their scientific and practical data were taken to absorb them according to the opportunities available in different sectors.”
The ministry emphasized that the “interest of citizens and their service is an important and noble goal, while it works with other sectors according to its available opportunities,” the statement added.
